FOOD CART VENDOR GUIELINES
Mission: The goal of MISSISSIPPI MARKEPLACE is to create a vibrant, affordable high quality location for vendors that promotes local businesses and supports the North Mississippi community.
1. Guidelines for your food Cart Trailer:
- Attractive clean site and trailer in good repair
- Awning if possible
- Water & gas in rear
- Seating provided for 4-8 people
- Post menu in prominent location
- Clean up at beginning and end of each day
- Maintain set schedule of hours open & closed
- Post menus and services at site and on web site, or on social network site such as twitter
- Have telephone on site for communication
- Be aware of site evacuation plan
- Location assignment made once but may be changed
- Monthly rent depends on location and is payable in advance
- Water/Sewer/Overhead security lights/Security camera/Landscaping cost will be prorated per month
- Secure own site after closing
- Have liability insurance
- One years’ lease preferred
2. Guidelines Food service
- Use recyclable serving containers
- Utilize local food sources whenever possible
- Leftover food to go to compost or Food Bank programs
3. Trash
- Compost & recycle most trash
- Trash collection will be combined with other food carts & fee pro-rated
- Business responsible for clean up around own site before, during & after hours
